Illuminated River walking tour

Working with Atelier Ten's lighting designers, I produced this self-guided walking tour as an event for the 2021 London Festival of Architecture. This walking tour was selected by Wallpaper* Magazine as one of the top "not to be missed" events of the London Festival of Architecture.

Atelier Ten provided the lighting and electrical engineering, and energy analysis for the relighting of nine bridges on the River Thames in London. I wrote this walking tour with a mix of technical facts from the designers alongside some history of the bridges.

I drew elevation illustrations of the nine bridges featured, and designed the layout and map. The layout of each page and its text is optimised to be read on a mobile phone, to make it easy to read and access while on the walking tour. I drew the map reversed in dark blues, with purples and yellow text to reflect not only the lighting of the bridges but also the fact that this tour will primarily be walked after sunset.

The full PDF of the tour is here.
